
As part of The Starbucks Foundation’s Global Community Impact Grants program and in celebration of Starbucks 12th annual Global Month of Good, HOUSE Foundation was selected to receive a grant. This grant award is thanks to a nomination from Starbucks partner company (licensee) Rustan Coffee Corporation, which operates the Starbucks brand in the Philippines. Through this unique program, The Starbucks Foundation invites licensees to nominate local nonprofit organizations in their community. This inaugural round of grant recipients was selected from more than 80 nominated local nonprofit organizations from 40 markets around the world.
Established in 2016, HOUSE (Helping Ourselves Through Sustainable Enterprises) Foundation is a pioneering organization that promotes systemic change for disadvantaged youth and survivors of abuse. Through an innovative, progressive, design thinking approach, HOUSE provides holistic development for disadvantaged young individuals ages 18 to 30 years old in order for them to become self-reliant and responsible members of society.
The Starbucks Foundation’s Global Community Impact Grants program supports nonprofit organizations driving programs that create meaningful local or regional impact, expanding on the company’s people positive ambition to enhance the wellbeing of all who connect with Starbucks. This program builds on other initiatives of The Starbucks Foundation, including Neighborhood Grants, Origin Grants, and Disaster Response Grants – which focus on enabling community resiliency and prosperity and uplifting communities affected by disaster.
